Dragonero – L’ascesa di Draquir (2024)

Dragonero – L’ascesa di Draquir

Dragonero – L’ascesa di Draquir is a turn-based RPG with a strategic twist that will put you to the test: explore dungeons, plan journeys in an open world full of events and face dozens of enemies in turn-based battles. Follow the paths of different champions in this vast comic-style fantasy universe.

Experience evaluation: I tested the game and conducted an evaluation of its usability and level of immersion. As a result, I proposed solutions to improve the gaming experience and represented them with small prototypes.
Quest Wizard prototype: I created the interface for a new game feature, the Quest Wizard, an editor where players can create quests that will appear in the game as they wish, from the number of tasks to perform to their type, from the reward earned upon completion to the location where it will take place.
Correction and debugging: I implemented some of the improvements I proposed, and during the testing phase, I identified bugs, some of which I fixed directly.

Quest Wizard prototype

The first screen of the editor shows the player a list of quests they have already created. Hovering over them will display a preview next to it. To add a new quest, click on ‘NEW QUEST’. To delete a quest, select the one you want and click on ‘DELETE’.
When deciding to create a new quest, the quest editor will open. On the left, there are general characteristics to set (quest type, description, reward upon completion, and the inn where it will appear), and on the right, you can add or remove phases to the quest.
Clicking on a phase in the previous screen will open the specific phase editor. A phase contains multiple tasks, and similarly to the phases, you can choose to add or remove tasks.
Clicking on a task will allow you to modify its type and the related characteristics. These characteristics can include the location where the task should be performed, the type of enemy to defeat, the type of item to deliver, the NPC to deliver it to, etc…
